This patient presented with a deep overbite (upper front teeth excessively overlapping lower front teeth) and moderate crowding. He wore Invisalign (removable, clear, plastic trays) for 12 months to help improve his bite and tooth alignment.
This patient presented with a severe open bite (upper and lower front teeth did not touch even when the patient tried to close her teeth together). Because of the severity of the open bite and underlying skeletal issues, this patient needed orthognathic surgery (jaw surgery) in conjunction with orthodontic treatment to help correct her bite. She wore Invisalign (removable, clear, plastic trays) for about 9 months prior to having jaw surgery. She has continued to wear Invisalign after the surgery to finish making some minor tooth movements in order to achieve better tooth alignment.
